# Post Pregnancy Weight Loss Tips

Pregnancy is one of the most amazing periods of a woman. It gives woman feeling of fullness and transforms a female to woman. This joy comes with its bundle of responsibilities, happiness and sometimes little frustration. Gaining those extra kilos during those 9 months where insignificant that time but now shedding off those extra kilos is Hercules task. Not fitting into those pants can be quite frustrating at time. But ladies do remember we took 9 months to gain that weight so have patience to reduce it to.

Let’s look at some easy tips to shed those extra kilos.

1) Breastfeed your child for at least 6 month

Yups its true breastfeeding builds immunity of your child and also help you lose those kilos. During this duration uterus contracts and body burns excessive fat slowly. No doubt you will feel more hungry so just don’t starve yourself but eat smartly. Remember breastfeeding alone burns 500 calories per day. So calculate your calorie intake and eat accordingly.

2) Eat healthy
Include healthy diet like eggs, nuts, flax seeds, oats and yogurt. Keep that ghee and fatty foods at a bay.

Breakfast – oats with milk & egg

Post breakfast snack – almonds, walnuts flax seed

Lunch- 2 chapatti with dal and vegetable and curd

Post lunch- cucumber, tomatoes, sweet potato

Evening snack- two types of fruits

Dinner – soup followed by chapatti and lentil

Post dinner – glass of milk

Drink at least 3 litres of water

3) Walking

Take your baby out for astroll. It will be fun for both mother and baby. Walk for atleast an hour a day, do some simple stretching exercises. It will refresh you mind and boost your energy .Also while walking try and squeeze your stomach in to contact those muscles

4) Hot water therapy

Start your day with a glass of hot water. Then consume this hot water 20 minutes before lunch and 20 minutes before dinner. Follow this routine for a week and then stop, then again start after a gap of week. Do this for a month and you will notice change in yourself.

5) Weighing scale

Keep check of your weight by weighing yourself after every 15 days.

6) Calorie app
Download calorie calculator app to keep track of your calorie intake.

7) Sleep
Lack of sleep leads to weight gain. Although it’s hard but try and get 7-8 hours of sleep.

Always remember whatever we do will reflect on our little one so keep smiling and be happy.
